Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address. We use magic link authentication — we never store passwords.

Keywords: The keywords and optional subreddit filters you configure for monitoring.

Usage data: Credit consumption, digest delivery logs, and feature usage to operate and improve the Service.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store credit card numbers, bank accounts, or other financial details — Dodo handles this directly.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not access your Reddit account or require Reddit credentials
• We only monitor publicly available Reddit posts
• We do not use tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or third-party ad trackers
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the Service: matching keywords against Reddit posts, scoring with AI, and delivering digest emails
• To send you digest emails and account-related notifications
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To improve the Service and fix issues

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate RedditPing:

• Supabase — database and authentication (hosted in the US)
• Resend — email delivery
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI scoring and summarization of public Reddit posts
• Dodo Payments — payment processing
• Amazon Web Services — infrastructure hosting (US East)

Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. AI Processing

Public Reddit posts that match your keywords are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for relevance scoring and summarization. This data consists of publicly available post titles and text — no private or personal data is sent. Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training.

6. Data Retention

Matched Reddit posts are retained for 90 days, after which they are automatically cleaned up. Digest logs are retained for billing and debugging purposes. If you delete your account, all associated data (keywords, matches, usage records) is permanently deleted.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and role-based access controls. Sensitive credentials are stored in AWS Secrets Manager. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You can:

• Access, update, or delete your account data from your dashboard settings
• Export your data by contacting us
• Disable digest emails at any time from your settings
• Request complete account deletion by emailing us

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
